With bated breath I have kept my lips sealed until the official release (at least I think I did). Just in time for pride, I am excited to announce Mikey Mongol and I have been featured in Issue 06 of Transfix Magazine. Our ongoing series “The Sorrowful Faggot” is now available to download in issue 006 of Transfix Magazine
Before diving into our feature I want to talk about Transfix and the impact uncensored art has on our community. This magazine has a mission to provide emotionally and physically explicit art that delves into the diverse aspects of trans identity and experiences. Celebrating a wide range of mediums including visual art, written work, and photography, Tranfix Mag has created a space where intersectional voices are highlighted, enabling both contributors and readers to feel acknowledged, understood, and supported. Our community is in desperate need of outlets and representation that show our rage, joy, and resistance. History is being erased and it is up to us to preserve it. Transfix Mag is one of many ways this is happening and “The Sorrowful Faggot” is just passage of the many stories being told. So what story do I tell?
“The Sorrowful Faggot” was a natural evolution of our work.
Mikey and I met in early 2023 on a photo set. I felt very comfortable with him.
It’s rare to meet a male photographer in this industry who can make you feel safe while they’re taking pictures of you acting like a slut. I was honestly impressed
We are all perverts, you don’t really get into this industry if you’re not, but what I create is about more than lust. It is a violent display of my shadows.
Pages of my diary pour through my finger and pierce the lens of every photographer I work with, some people get it, some people don’t. Mikey is one of the few people I have met who are drawn to the same genre of porny pics.
Through warped positions and ugly faces, he understood and celebrated the bizarre and unconventional ways I wanted to express my beauty.
As always I hope he’s coming into town again soon and can’t wait to shoot again!
